Heavy rains lashed most of Himachal Pradesh as the southwest monsoon knocked at its door. The HP Met Office has predicted more rainfall at some places tomorrow. With rains, state witnessed some relief from heat as temperature dropped. Monsoon has arrived in the region much earlier as compared to last two years. Last year, it arrived after June 24 and July 1 in 2014. Further, Himachal received 67 mm rains from June 1 to June 21 this year, which is above the normal rainfall of 52 mm. The Met Office has forecast rains and thundershowers at isolated places in lower, mid and higher hills from June 23.
