State government on Wednesday informed that Himachal Pradesh has faced a loss of Rs. 567.32 crore in Monsoon due to heavy rainfall that has also claimed 28 human lives. Roads and bridges are worst hit and the damage totals Rs. 396 crore. The Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, in a review meeting, assessed the damaged and directed administration to allot adequate funds to the victims along with taking up restoration work at village link roads and bridges. The issue of frequent landslides near Hanogi temple in Mandi district was also taken up and the Public Works Department was directed to figure out a permanent solution to it.
